Role:
As the Construction Foreman, you will be the key leader on construction sites, responsible for overseeing daily site operations, manages crews, ensures safety compliance, and maintains project quality and timelines, acting as the link between workers and management.
Kay Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision throughout all phases of the project
- Develop, maintain and execute the construction schedule to ensure full completion of the project prior to the closing date 100% of the time
- Work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Manager, Owner, Consultant, Subcontractors, Inspectors, and other stakeholders to identify, develop, implement and support cost-effective project delivery
- Schedule, monitor and supervisor all subcontractor work quality and production levels to ensure the highest standards are achieved
- Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for the project
- Assess construction discrepancies and brainstorm solutions to maintain a desired finished product
- Track all extra work and process in accordance with contractual obligations
- Oversee client requests and inspections to ensure satisfaction and completion in a timely manner
- Coaching, motivating and developing skills of 5-10 team members on site
- Resolve day to day field personnel issues
- Achieve project schedule milestones, corrective action where necessary to meet key milestone dates.
- Participate in safety training and development initiatives as identified or requested
- Communicate and administer all Safety policies and conduct site safety meetings
- Inspecting construction sites for potential hazards throughout duration of project
- Oversee execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that the crews work to job specifications and follow drawings.
- Maintain records of project progress and report to Project Manager
- Ability to work in the city of Winnipeg
- Travel to surrounding Manitoba areas may be required
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience in a Foreman/Site Supervisor role preferred
- Skilled in reading and reviewing blueprints/floor plans
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people
- Post-secondary education (e.g., Construction Technology, Carpentry, Civil Engineering, etc.) preferred but not required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Pay: $70,000.00-$102,000.00 per year
